Great chips and Outstanding Burgers!
The best chips I think I have ever had. Surprised by how good the burgers were, could go toe to toe with some of these expensive posh burger restaurants! Fish is also very nice. Hard to fault this place.

Yummy Fish and Chips - Clean - Great
We visited 2 Saturdays running en route to a holiday destination and on the way back. I couldn't fault it. Easy to find, off road parking, restaurant to the side, delicious, gluten free fish and chips as a takeaway or restaurant meal, nice decor, staff professional and friendly. Toilets available and they were clean.

THE best chippy in Telford, fish is always battered and fried fresh to order, prices are good, its all fresh and they even take card to make payment easier. It's spotlessly clean and the owners take pride in the business and is always around.

BEST CHIPPY IN TELFORD
As I say in the title, Smithfields is the best chip shop in Telford. Always clean. Staff friendly especially the owners. Kebab meat beautiful and not greasy at all. Very busy on Friday and Saturday evenings - for a good reason!! They're No.1.

We're local to Smithfield's and have bought food from there many times, the food is always way above any of the other chippies we've tried in the area. The staff are always lovely and the place is clean. Cannot recommend the place enough.

Always excellent quality. We've been using it for years and now they do gluten free. Always brilliant quality and lovely staff. Very popular and big queues in the evening so we often eat in the dining area.

So nice to be able to come to a restaurant like this for our Fish and Chips. To be able to sit down, order what we want, and then in a timely manner all brought to the table with a nice hot tea or coffee and some bread and butter, plentiful selection of all the other chip shop items available as well if you don't want fish.

Excellent Gluten Free Takeaway
As a family with coeliacs we were delighted to find that Smithfields offer a gluten free fish and chips, which are delicious, and now offer so much more that is gluten free too. The owners and staff are always friendly and helpful.

Superb chippy, arguably the best in the area. Usually a short wait because it is usually busy because of how good it is. Friendly staff, a great choice and decent portions. Hot & fresh cooked food. They seem to have a knack of cooking just the right amount.

After our first visit it absolutely ticked all the boxes. Off road parking, restaurant and takeaway, clean premises, friendly / professional staff, really clean toilets. Ordered cod and chips as a takeaway. It was beautifully cooked, fresh and served in a box with a paper bag to take it out. Fish was nicely cooked, as was the batter and the chips were yummy. A week later we returned and enjoyed it all over again. 5 stars for great food, great service, presentation and cleanliness. - We will be back when next in the area.

I must take the time to say how impressed I was with this restaurant in Wellington. We had a largish party and some people needed fast orders to get away earlier. My food was excellent, as were the other dishes ordered by the group.

Easy to find, lots of parking but best of all - the chips (especially the fish and chips) are great. Not too far away from Morrisons either if you want to get a bit of shopping.
